Dips, movement and moisture all show through a finished floor eventually. We check and prepare what is underneath first, levelling, boarding or priming as needed before anything is laid.

Setting out is the other half of the job. Herringbone and patterned floors in particular need the centre lines and thresholds planned before the first board goes down.
